Refund & Return Policy

Under California state law, alcoholic beverages may not be returned or once sold except in the case of defective bottles and only when purchased directly from Charles Krug Winery.

As a perishable item, Charles Krug Winery is not responsible for, and will not replace wine that is damaged by extreme weather conditions, both cold and hot. When your wine order is picked up by the common carrier for delivery, responsibility for the wine becomes the responsibility of the purchaser.

If purchased from any type of 3rd party, non-Charles Krug Winery entity, (ie. retailer, website, delivery service, restaurant, etc.) Charles Krug Winery will be unable to replace or refund the purchase. Please contact the 3rd party the bottle was purchased from.

Shipments where the provided address information is incorrect or incomplete and are returned to us as undeliverable will either be reshipped at the expense of the customer or refunded, minus applicable shipping & return fees.

We take great pride in carefully packaging your order to ensure a safe delivery, but on the rare occasion, breakage or damage does occur in transit. In this event, please contact us directly at lovewine@charleskrug.com or (707) 967-2229 within 30 days of receipt to file a claim.
