Vintage Selection Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

2010 Vintage - Estate Bottled

Since 1944, our Peter Mondavi Family flagship wine, Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon, has been crafted only when the vintage is optimum. A soft, fruity bouquet of raspberry, cherry and dark chocolate forms a prelude to the ripe blackberry, cocoa and hint of pomegranate flavors. Smooth and full-bodied with a long finish, our “VS” once again promises the elegant balance and firm structure we strive for in all the wines produced by our family owned winery.
Wine Enthusiast - 92 Points - The winery’s Vintage Select Cabernet was famous in its day as one of California’s greatest and most long-lived. Ripe, succulent currant fruit and a soft mouthfeel are the highlights, seconded by complexity, dryness and a gentle application of new French oak. So gently appealing now, it’s drinkable, and should develop for 6—10 years.— S.H. (10/1/2013)
Wine Advocate - 91 Points - Krug’s flagship offering, the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintage Selection displays a dense ruby/purple color and a bouquet of creme de cassis, licorice and spice, medium to full-bodied richness, and lots of length, elegance and density. A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc and 1% Merlot, this beauty can be drunk now and over the next 15-20 years. — R.P. (10/1/2013)
