Tasting Room

Sample award winning wines at our redwood wine bar, peruse our gift shop and talk wine with our friendly Tasting Room staff about our current releases and organic farming methods in our vineyards. In addition, ask us about our Limited Release and Library wine selections.

Our Tasting Room is located on the original Charles Krug Estate Vineyards, between the wine cellar built by Charles Krug and the vineyard. The property is listed (historic landmark #563) on the National Register of Historical Landmarks. Evidence of the Napa Valley's fascinating history is everywhere; redwood tasting bars are made of the Family's original redwood tanks, Charles Krug's original cider press is on display and the property is bisected by train tracks that recall an era when Napa Valley fruit was shipped to the east coast for home winemakers during Prohibition.

Established over 50 years ago, the first tasting room in the Napa Valley offers one of the deepest collections of older (starting with a 1983 vintage) Cabernet Sauvignon for purchase anywhere in the appellation. If you need a bottle to celebrate a special event in your life, consider a rare Cabernet Sauvignon or one of our other fine vintages in 1.5L bottles or larger formats.

The Peter Mondavi Family extends an invitation to Napa County residents for complimentary tastings for up to four guests. A form of valid identification showing Napa County residence is required.

• With redevelopment ongoing at the winery, tours are currently unavailable. We are closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year's Day
