Fracchia Vineyard
Fracchia Vineyard sits on the floodplain consisting of Cole silt loam, Clear Lake clay, Yolo loam and riverwash from the Napa River just east of Highway 29 and south of Yountville. Purchased in 1971 from Lou Fracchia, the vineyard with its clay-loam soil was once a pear orchard. The vineyard is planted with Syrah. The majority of acreage currently lies fallow to build up soil nutrients and integrity.
