Charles Krug Winery welcomes wine, food and music lovers to the 59th Annual Tastings on the Lawn, Saturday, September 11th. Stroll among the towering oak trees on our lush grounds at Napa Valley’s first winery while you taste our current releases of ultra-premium wines, including Family Reserves and Limited Releases. Members of the Peter Mondavi Sr. family will greet guests, sign bottles and answer questions about the wines and the renovation of the historic Charles Krug estate.

Whether you favor the fresh, crisp taste of a Sauvignon Blanc or the fruity mouthfeel that rewards your palate with our Family Reserve Generations, you're sure to find a wine that you'll love. With each of our fifteen current releases, incredible food pairings selected by our Hospitality Director, Patty Grantham, will surely please your palate.

If that isn't enough, throw off your shoes and squish your toes in the soft grass while you dance to the beat of classic rock. Meander upstairs and downstairs through the Carriage House. Reward yourself with barrel tastings of our upcoming Family Reserve releases and meet with winemaker David Galzignato.

The event also welcomes back for his sixth year at TOL famed Santa Rosa caricaturist, Doug Shannon. This free activity lets Doug capture unique and colorful features of TOL guests to take home, frame and enjoy.

Cesare and Rosa Mondavi originated the Tastings on the Lawn in 1951 as a means to educate consumers about wine. Fifty-nine years later, Peter Mondavi, now the family patriarch, continues the tradition on the Great Lawn of the Charles Krug estate. Lawn chairs, picnic blankets, straw hats and comfy shoes are encouraged!

Advance tickets for the 21 and over event, which runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., are available online at www.charleskrug.com for $30 and at the door for $35.
