In the year 2000, they installed their first heirloom vegetable garden to produce herbs, fancy greens, berries and edible flowers. The gardens now cover over 2 acres and flourish throughout the traditional Western Pennsylvania growing season. A small greenhouse has been installed to grow baby lettuces and herbs year round.
