Record Auction Proceeds for Make-A-Wish Foundation

Charles Krug Wines Bring Record Auction Proceeds for Make-A-Wish Foundation
at Morton's - The Steakhouse on East Coast Tour
A record $64,150 was raised from the auction of four 27 Liter bottles of 2002 Charles Krug-Peter Mondavi Family Vintage Selection Cabernet Sauvignon from four wine dinners at Morton's - The Steakhouse restaurants in April.
The Morton's "Rare Offerings" wine dinners with the Charles Krug wines were held in Southfield, Michigan on April 4, Columbus, Ohio on April 5, Tyson's Corner, Virginia on April 6 and White Plains, New York on April 25.
"The Tyson's Corner, Virginia auction raised $31,200," said Charles Krug proprietor, Peter Mondavi, Jr.
"We've set a new record for the 27 Liter auction bottles on our banner tour," said Mondavi. "The $64,150 is earmarked for the local chapters of the Make-A-Wish Foundation."
Morton's and Charles Krug Winery have partnered together to offer these wine dinners, now in their fifth year, at various Morton's locations across the United States to benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation. The organization enriches the lives of children with life-threatening illnesses through its wish-granting work.
